Solar Decathlon China 2018
Leon Wasser, VP Business Development for HiGarden is proud to report that HiGarden’s design team won First Prize for Architectural Design and Third Place for Engineering Design at the 2018 Solar Decathlon China Global eco-design competition!
lthat Launched by the U.S. Department of Energy in 2002, the Solar Decathlon is a renowned international competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate architecturally sophisticated and energy-efficient solar-powered houses.
TeamMTL, a collaborative endeavour between faculty and students from multiple departments at Concordia and McGill universities, has been officially invited to the Solar Decathlon China 2018 after successfully passing the initial proposal stage with their Deep-Performance Dwelling design scheme. Their zero-energy house project will incorporate our VIGA ™ system. The finals will be held in Dezhou – the ‘Sun City’ of China in late summer of 2018, where TeamMTL will be competing against 21 other teams from 11 countries and 49 universities.LEARN MORE
