Chemical-Free Water Treatment Systems – UET

Universal Environmental Technologies, or UET, a global leader in chemical-free water treatment technologies with over 5,000 installations world-wide and which is now entering the Canadian market.

The Science Behind UET – Restoring Equilibrium

UET discovered how to restore water to its natural balance without adding chemicals, and designed a revolutionary water treatment technology that works in all climates and environments. Water passing through different industrial processes changes its properties and will begin to lose its natural equilibrium. Most water treatment methods introduce chemicals to try to resist or inhibit the natural mineral content of water in order to solve water related problems.

UET’s Breakthrough Technology

UET discovered that by promoting the reaction of only those minerals that are disruptive to the process can restore the natural mineral balance of the water. This is achieved by calculating the dynamic equilibrium curve for each water system and implementing a set of reactors that are based on partial- and controlled electrolysis. This process involves a fully computerized system that can be effectively monitored and controlled internally and externally. Through this unique electrochemical process, the water is returned to its dynamic equilibrium within the reaction chamber, leaving the entire water system free of deposits, corrosion and bio-contamination.

The Chemistry of UET – Controlled Chemical Reactions

In each UET system, the designated water is passed through a series of reactors that are configured to apply partial-electrolysis in order to restore the water’s mineral balance to an optimum equilibrium. By applying electrochemical processes, H+ and OH- ions are produced by partial electrolysis of the water. OH- ions promote scale formation with the excess of ions according to the chemical reactions in the chambers, as follows: Ca+2(l) + 2CO3-2(l) + OH-(l) = CaCO3(s) + CO2(g) + H2O(l)

Disinfecting the System

The addition of H+ ions produces biocides through the process of electro-chlorination, which eliminates bacteria and viruses in the water system. The electrolysis process also promotes oxidation and causes electrocoagulation and flocculation, which remove heavy metals from the water.

Restoring Balance to Water Systems

UET’s revolutionary treatment solutions are based on unique algorithms, proven in major installations around the world. Since 1992, our technology has been tested by international chemical companies that set out to disprove its efficacy, but now recognize its advantages.
